The Story

The Story
A big wrestling fan herself, it seemed inevitable that this Canadian girl would eventually find herself in the wrestling
spotlight.

One day, Trish Stratus was discovered in Toronto while working at a gym. She was approached about doing a photo shoot for
a magazine, and accepted. Since 1998, she's been featured in a number of fitness and modeling publications including
Muscle Mag International, the Fitt Health Journal, Oxygen magazine and the UK's Optimum Health and Fitness among others.

In 1999, Trish got her foot in the door as far as wrestling is concerned by joining Live Audio Wrestling as a co-host.
From there, the WWF and WCW both took an interest in her, and both offered her contracts. Trish opted to accept the WWF
deal, stating that her decision stemmed from the fact that she was simply a big "mark" for the WWF and it would be a
dream come true to appear on a WWF broadcast. Following her signing, she underwent wrestling training under the tutelage
of Ron Hutchison, the same man responsible for training the likes of Edge, Christian, Johnny Swinger and Tiger Ali Singh.
She then waited patiently while the WWF worked on getting her a work visa to allow her to work in the United States.

Then on Tuesday, March 14, Trish Stratus made her WWF debut as part of a Smackdown/Sunday Night Heat taping, which aired
on television on March 19. She had appeared on the SNH tapings. Her initial appearance saw her scout both Test and Prince
Albert, and she immediately became their manager (with the team being named T and A) the following week on Raw.

In just a short time in the WWF, Trish Stratus has become one of the company's hottest attractions. The looks, the voice,
the love of the business; Trish's future is limitless in the World Wrestling Federation.

In 2000 she was a popular figure alongside Test and Albert and enjoed a good 6 months of feuding with the likes of the
Dudley Boyz and Hardy Boyz. She later left Test and stayed with Albert but eventually left him.

In September of 2000 she was enjoying a feud with upcoming Diva, Lita, and the fans were loving every minute of the feud.
She even competed in the first ever Bra and Panties Match which to this day is a popular gimmick match amongst male fans.

In 2001 she entered her biggest storyline whilst in the WWF, that being a top ranking feud with Stephanie. This came about
when Trish began to spend countless hours with Mr McMahon, who later dumpt Trish and sided with his daughter Stephanie.

WWF Management had Trish beg on Live TV for a chance to go back to Mr McMahon. From there on Trish was a slave to Vince
and Stephanie until WrestleMania X-Seven arrived which saw Trish turn on Vince and help Linda and Shane McMahon.

This was the last we would see of Trish until June/July 2001 which would see her return to team up with long-time rival
Lita to take on WCW's Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. Funny enough Lita and Trish teamed up to face Torrie and Stacy in
a Bra and Panties Match, the very match they created. Of course they won the match and this saw Trish leave TV again.

In the Fall Trish returned to WWF TV to co-host a show called WWF Excess which is a Live Talk Show which airs on Saturday
at 10pm ET on TNN.

During her time in the WWF she has taken part in various major photoshoots such as Divas in Hedonism and Postcard from
the Caribbean. She has also appeared on the cover of various magazines including the April 2001 issue of Raw Magazine.
Also she has appeared in Divas in Hedonism the Video/DVD.

At the 2001 Survivor Series Trish won a Six-Pack Challenge to become the new WWF Women's Champion and her retain would
continue for some time as she defeated Jackie at Vengeance and Jazz at the 2002 Royal Rumble to retain her title. Sadly
she lost the title to Jazz in February.

During a special TV show called WWF Divas Sex on the Beach Trish was awarded the front cover of the new Divas 2002
Magazine and was then known as the Divas 2002 Cover Girl. She then went onto face both Lita and Jazz in a Triple Threat
Match in her hometown of Toronto Canada but sadly lost.

She was drafted for the RAW roster and began a hot feud with Molly which actually saw Trish getting big wins over both
Molly and Jazz during various bouts and she scored another big win over the pair at Insurrextion when she and Jackie
defeated them.

She was then rewarded a shot at Jazz's Women's Championship on the May 6th RAW but ended up becoming the WWF Hardcore
Champion. She sadly lost the title straight away to Steven Richards after being put through a table by mistake by Bubba.
The following week on RAW she teamed up with Bubba to face Jazz and Steven in a double title match and this match saw
Trish finally regain her Women's Championship as well as send Jazz crashing through a table. Trish would then go on to
retain her title when she defended it against Stacy Keibler at Judgment Day and then a week later at Velocity in a Bra
and Panties Match. She would later lose the title to Molly Holly but would regain it in fashion at Unforgiven 2002 and
then defeat Molly and Victoria the following night on RAW.

Trish is expected to get a whole new look with entrance music in the fall and was featured in the Divas Undressed
Magazine, Video and DVD in October 2002. October was also a big month for her as her feud with Victoria stepped up a
gear and the pair wrestled on the No Mercy PPV and Trish won.

Trish also defeated Torrie Wilson in the finals of the 2002 Babe of the Year and has won the competition for the second
year in a row.
